🚻 Toilet Facilities on Race Day

Toilet facilities will be available at three main locations on race day, including a mix of indoor toilets and portaloos:

  • Laragh GFC (official race parking)
  • Brockagh Centre (finish line)
  • Near both start lines

Portaloos are provided as additional capacity to supplement indoor toilets at the finish area and the start zones. Please follow signage and the directions of marshals when arriving.

πŸ…ΏοΈ EVENT PARKING – LARAGH GFC (6:00–8:30 AM)

Portaloos and toilets will be available as you arrive at Laragh GFC

If queues form, you may also walk across the road (150 m) to the portaloos at Laragh Free Car Park or (if walking/running) stop into Brockagh Centre’s toilets on your way to the start.

🏁 FINISH LINE – BROCKAGH CENTRE (6:00–16:00)

Brockagh Centre, Laragh (Finish line / toilets)

Indoor toilets at the Brockagh Centre ( from race parking) will be available all day from 6 am.

You may use these facilities before or after your race. You will pass here after 1.2 km if you walk/run from the official parking.

🟣 Half-Marathon Start Area

  • Portaloos are located near the half-marathon start/finish zone
  • Additional public toilets at Upper Lake Car Park (200 m away) will open at 7:00 AM
  • Please consider walking to the Upper Lake if queues build at the portaloos

πŸ”΅ Marathon Start Area

  • Marathon start is 500 m from the half-marathon facilities
  • Marathoners are advised to use toilets at Laragh GFC or Brockagh Centre before boarding the shuttle or walking/running to the start

πŸ›‘ Please note: There are no toilets at the bus drop-off point or the Emergency HelpDesk (Glendalough Visitor Centre)

🚻 Toilets on the Route

There are a few emergency and public toilet options along the course:

Glenmacnass Waterfall Car Park, with one portaloos at the water station on your left hand side.

KM 12-12.5 km – (for half-marathon – you pass it twice)

KM 10.3 – (for marathon runners – you pass it only once)

Pier Gates public car park, with two more portaloos on your left-hand side

KM 27 – Emergency portaloo at the JB Malone water station

KM 29 – Two sets of toilets:

Public portaloo near Lough Dan / Lough Tay car park (left-hand side after Pier Gates)

Entrance to the public car park (Lough Tay and Lough Dan Parking) after Pier Gates on km 29. Portaloos are on the left hand side of the car park.
